Chocolate baked oats

Baking: 25-30 minutes


Ingredients: 

  • 2 bananas mashed
  • 2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 scoop Essablend choco-spice vegan protein
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup (based on preference)
  • 1/4 cup walnuts crushed
  • 1,5 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1.5 cups milk of choice

To serve (optional):

  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • Yoghurt of choice

Method:

  1. Heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius, fan forced.
  2. Place the frozen raspberries in a bowl and let them defrost.
  3. In a greased oven-safe container/baking tray (6-8 x 6-8), combine the banana, mashing this like so, followed by the remaining ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  4. Place in the oven and cook for about 25-30 minutes, or until firm to touch.
  5. Allow the oats to cool completely in the container/ tray, and then loosen the edges with a knife. 
  6. Upon serving, cut into ~4-6 servings. If serving warm the next day (reheat a slice in the microwave for ~1 minute and serve with mashed berries and yoghurt of choice.

Store it refrigerated.
