Everything you need to know about the Inner Beauty Multivitamin

Beauty and energy in a single capsule.

Many vitamins, minerals and plant active ingredients can help preserve the health and beauty of our skin. On a day to day basis, we don't even realize how much damage we expose our skin and hair to, which contributes to structural damages and premature ageing. The polluted air of the big cities, the increased UV radiation, the stress and insomnia resulting from the accelerated pace of work all contribute to the formation of free radicals and thus the ageing of our skin, the breaking of our hair and the weakening of our nails. The Essa Inner Beauty capsule contains the vitamins and minerals that are essential for maintaining healthy hair, skin and nails. But what exactly are these vitamins and trace elements?  Why does our body need them and how do they have a positive effect on our hair, skin, and nails?  Let's see what these micronutrients can do!

Many trace elements and minerals play a role in maintaining healthy skin, hair and nails. Trace elements are chemical elements that are essential for the body, needed in small concentrations, and play a role in various biological processes. In addition to their biochemical functions, these micronutrients also participate in oxidative and reductive processes within the body, as well as acting as catalysts in enzymatic reactions.  As a first example, copper is involved in maintaining the normal state of connective tissues. Copper carries out enzymatic processes that are significant in the formation of collagen and elastin fiber cross-links. In addition to copper, iron is also involved in stabilizing the structural unit of both collagen and elastin structural proteins. Collagen is the most abundant intercellular matrix protein in the human body and the main structural protein of skin, bones and tendons.  Collagen is also a key molecule in wound healing. The ageing of skin is caused by oxidative stress and damage to collagen fibers, reduced collagen biosynthesis and density. Zinc is involved in protein and nucleic acid (e.g. DNA) synthesis, and is also involved in many metabolic processes.  Studies support the positive effect of zinc in enhancing the regeneration of hair follicles, and deficiency can be linked to hair loss.  Manganese is important in the process of skin agieng due to its often mentioned radical scavenging effect. Free radicals, being reactive compounds, react, for example, with the body's lipid and protein molecules, changing their structure and thus leading to the weakening of cells. Antioxidant compounds can protect against these harmful effects. Not only can we consume antioxidant compounds within our food (such as vitamin E, vitamin C, and flavonoids found in plants), but our body also has natural defense systems to protect against various oxidative stress effects.  It also includes the so-called superoxide dismutase, which is an enzyme containing manganese and is found in the mitochondria of cells, where it plays an antioxidant role.  In addition to this important role, manganese is also involved in the metabolism of amino acids, carbohydrates and cholesterol. Selenium, like manganese, is also necessary for the functioning of enzymes within the antioxidant defense system, and is crucial in the formation of certain proteins.  Selenium contributes to maintaining the normal condition of hair and nails.

Although it is not a trace element, hyaluronic acid, which belongs to the group of so-called glycosaminoglycans, can bind water molecules in the uppermost layer of the skin, making it fuller, fresher and younger. The appearance of dehydrated skin is dry, thinned, wrinkled, i.e. the signs of ageing become visible. There is another molecule in our body that, like the minerals mentioned above, is actually beneficial for us due to its antioxidant properties, and this is coenzyme-Q10. This molecule can be found under several names, including ubiquinol, ubiquinone, and ubidecarenone.  Just like superoxide dismutase, coenzyme-Q10 is also found in the mitochondria of cells and has a function in energy production, in addition to its antioxidant effect.

In order for the active ingredients in the capsule to be better utilized by the body, our scientists added Bioperin®, a patented black pepper extract, to the capsule. Bioperin® has been proven to increase the bioavailability of vitamins and minerals taken with it (that is, it results in better digestion, absorption and utilization). Bioperin® contains a minimum of 95% standardized piperine, the main active ingredient of black pepper, which as a thermonutrient increases heat production by metabolic processes.

The well-known vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is not only an important vitamin for supporting our immune system. Aside from taking vitamin C supplements in the winter months, it is important year round as ascorbic acid contributes to normal collagen formation and the protection of cells against oxidative stress. Vitamin C is crucial for maintaining a normal collagen network. This is due to its ability to prevent the inactivation of two enzymes that are crucial for the biosynthesis of collagen.  Our body's collagen production naturally decreases with age, starting in the mid-twenties.  In addition to its role in collagen production, vitamin C is a natural antioxidant, just like vitamin E.  Similar to vitamin E, two other fat-soluble vitamins, vitamin A and vitamin D3, have also played a role in the Essa Inner Beauty capsule. For good reason! Vitamin A is necessary for cell differentiation and growth. However, consuming too high a dose of vitamin A can result in hair loss! Vitamin D3 plays a role in the proper functioning of bones and muscles. It affects the absorption and building of calcium and phosphorus in bones. It also affects the growth and differentiation of skin cells. Our capsule contains all 8 vitamins of the vitamin B complex (thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, pyridoxine, biotin, folate, cyanocobalamin). Vitamin B complexes are primarily involved in energy-producing metabolic processes. This is especially important for those who lead an active lifestyle, and we at Essa consider regular exercise important. Physical activity has a favorable effect on the cardiovascular system and blood circulation, as the necessary nutrients can reach every corner of our body with our blood flow, including the skin of the face, the hairy scalp and the tip of our little finger. After a nice workout or yoga class, however, we think the most beautiful is a red, sweaty face seen in the mirror. Deficiencies in riboflavin, biotin, folate, and cyanocobalamin have been associated with increased hair loss and brittle nails.  It is an interesting fact that biotin can also be produced by the human body and contributes to maintaining the normal condition of skin and hair.

The Essa Inner Beauty capsule also contains maca root powder, green tea extract, grape seed powder and alpha-lipoic acid. Maca root is rich in vitamins and minerals that positively influence energy-producing metabolic processes. The caffeine content of green tea stimulates physical and mental activity. It increases the ability to focus, and has a stimulating effect. In addition, it is a plant material rich in antioxidants. We cannot emphasize enough the importance of active ingredients with antioxidant effects in protecting against harmful free radicals and oxidative stress. The compounds with this effect fight the skin's ageing processes the most, which is why we decided to include several active ingredients with the same effect, but different ones, in our capsules. Alpha-lipoic acid is known for its extremely strong antioxidant properties, while also favorably affecting the carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism of cells. Grape seed is an excellent source of antioxidants, so by fighting free radicals, it helps prevent skin ageing processes. Last but not least we have included rosehip extract, which is rich in vitamin C, is well-known for its immune-boosting effect and, as mentioned earlier, is also a compound with an antioxidant effect.

The Essa Inner Beauty capsule perfectly complements the effect of Essa Collagen Drink Powder on the skin.  The vitamins, trace elements, plants and other active ingredients in the capsule help protect cells against oxidative stress, increase collagen formation through enzymatic processes, or increase skin hydration. The Essa Inner Beauty capsule is synonymous with glowing skin from within!
