6 ways to improve your morning routine.
Win the morning win the day. Your morning routine can help set the tone for the rest of your day and feel more relaxed, focused and productive.
From the moment we wake up our morning activities have a huge impact on our mindset and wellbeing throughout the day.
We are creatures of habit. Understanding this, and developing simple structures to navigate each day will ease any feelings of overwhelm and help us thrive. We made 6 inspirational ideas for you to help with your morning routine.
1. Morning Rituals
Everyone is different but here are a few tips that have help us win the morning.
- Let natural light in - this helps your body clock to adjust and to wake up. And there is nothing better than letting fresh air into your bedroom. So refreshing and awakening.

Make your bed - There are multiple benefits of making your bed. William H. McRaven published a book about how the simple act of tidying up your covers lets you begin your morning with a small success that, the theory goes, will encourage many more throughout the day.
But here are some more benefits that can motivate you to start this habit. Sense of calm, enhanced organization, improved focus, relaxation, and stress reduction. - Drink water to kickstart your metabolism. If room temperature water is too much for you in the morning, you can have some warm water with freshly squeezed lemon in it. The same applies to room temperature water.
2. Meditate and set your intentions for the day.
Mediation is a way of checking in with yourself. Being aware of yourself. It's basically taking a moment to ask, ‘how am I?'
Even 5-10 minutes each morning is going to help us start the day's tasks with more focus and clarity.
Writing down your intentions and priorities for the day once you've completed your morning meditation is a great way to prepare yourself for the day, get organized and stay calm.
3. Play your favourite playlist
Create a playlist that makes you feel happy and motivated in the morning.
You can listen to whatever you like but it has to make you feel good and reflect on how you want to feel for the rest of the day.
4. Move
A morning workout might not be for everyone but incorporating some form of movement into your morning routine will help you start the day feeling fresh, fit and energized.
Even if it’s 10-15 minutes of stretching, yoga, or walk is enough to boost your mood and prepare your mind and body for the day.
5. Drink your coffee or tea and just listen
Try to just enjoy the taste of your coffee or tea and just the moment, without being on the phone or computer.
6. Eat a healthy breakfast

MY GREEN MANGO SPINACH SMOOTHIE
This recipe is really delicious, takes less than 5 minutes and is a great choice for breakfast.
Ingredients:
- 250 ml almond milk
- Large handful of baby spinach
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 1 tbsp almond or peanut butter
- 1 scoop of Essablend Vegan Vanilla protein powder
- 1 tsp flax seeds
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Ice (optional)
Blend all ingredients and enjoy this filling and delicious smoothie.
