Choco spice protein granola
Are you a fan of breakfast cereal but are tired of store-bought versions loaded with additives and sugar? Make your own chocolate granola at home with healthy ingredients! Ingredients:
- 200g rolled oats
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1 tablespoon Dutch cocoa powder
- ½ scoop Essablend Choco spice protein
- 20g shredded coconut
- 40g extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup honey
- A small handful of peanuts or your favorite nuts/seeds
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 165°C.
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, a pinch of sea salt, Dutch cocoa powder, Essablend protein, shredded coconut, and nuts/seeds.
- In a separate bowl, mix the olive oil with honey, then pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture. Thoroughly combine the dry and wet ingredients.
- Spread the mixture evenly on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Ensure it's not too thick to achieve a crunchy texture.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until the granola is golden brown and crispy. Occasionally flip the mixture to ensure even baking.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool.
