Vanessa's neck and shoulder stretches

Are you spending a lot of time in front of your computer? Do you notice that you hunch your shoulders and neck?

Let me show you some of my favourite stretches I like doing when I’m sitting a lot in front of the computer.

My shoulders and neck gets tense quite often so I do these stretches almost every day.

I try to do yoga 4 times a week. It has so many great benefits for the mind and body. It helps me to switch off, calm down, great for stretching and can be a good exercise.

But if I don’t have time I always stretch. The best part is that you can do it anywhere and anytime. Even when you’re watching TV.

Even on days when I don’t feel like doing anything, it helps me so much. I always feel better after physically and mentally so I’d like to invite you to try it as well.

 Method:

Try to do the stretches for at least 8 second per side and the arm reaches (exercise 5&6) at least 6 times per side.

Extra tip: I highly recommend getting a foam roll and a massage gun for your home. It has been life changing for me and I even take them with me whenever I travel.

Here are my favourite ones:

If you are new to foam rollers I recommend getting a softer one to start. I love the grid but it might be too hard to start with.

I love the mini version because I can fit it in my gym bag and also in my carry on when I travel.
